Tronix Competition Match ST Rod

A rod designed for fishing with lighter rigs and leads, although it retains good power in the butt and mid-section to cast a long way. The solid carbon hybrid tip is light and soft to offer the best bite detection. Like the other three-piece competition rods, it is adept at casting delicate baits without blowing them up. This rod, however, is more suited to clean beaches and calm conditions. It makes the perfect long-distance and short-range rod when targeting smaller species such as flounder, dabs and whiting. It’s an excellent bass rod and is well suited to fishing light for species such as garfish and mackerel.

Constructed with the unique Nano Graphene Matrix material, this 40ton carbon from Mitsubishi is a hundred times stronger than steel of the same thickness. It gives the rod increased recovery, higher strength, and more sensitivity. The rod is rung with Fuji CC Framed KWAG guides which eliminate line twist for smoother, efficient, and greater casting distances as well as a quality Fuji DPS reel seat. A reflective tip helps to identify bites at night while a rubberised, non-slip, spiralled ergonomic handle provides comfort when casting. An Easy Joint system helps you to correctly line up rod sections.
